RJN Group is providing a comprehensive flow monitoring program
for the Gwynns Falls and Patapsco Sewersheds and the City's main interceptor system
as part of the requirements of Paragraph 9 of the Consent Decree issued by the
United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the State of Maryland
Department of the Environment (MDE) to the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore,
Maryland.
RJN Group is also providing city wide rainfall monitoring
necessary to allow the characterization of flow in the collection system and overflows.
Additionally, the work will include Doppler radar rainfall measurements in conjunction
with rainfall gauges. The flow and rainfall monitoring network shall be designed,
installed, operated and maintained to provide representative, accurate, and precise
data of sufficient quality to use in the development, calibration, and verification
of a hydraulic model.
