Wireless Remote Data Collection
RJN will utilize a host software support application program for remote
wireless flow meter, rain gauge and groundwater gauge data collection. The host
software shall be capable of individually, by group or globally changing the data
collection interval including collection after each measurement. The host software
shall enforce clock synchronization with the host system’s clock for all field
RTUs, thus insuring time interval integrity for all collected data.
Web Server Data Availability
RJN will use a system employing client/server architecture. RJN will
store all project deliverables including flow, rainfall and groundwater data;
equipment configurations; event logs; site parameters, etc into a SQL database
on a server. Transfer of data shall be seamless into the project’s Enterprise
data platform. The software shall allow any networked computer (with the appropriate
access rights) access to the data stored in the SQL database using a common web
browser (e.g. Microsoft Internet Explorer). The web module shall be read only;
the user shall not have access to modify the database or any operational system
configurations. A client access control utility shall be included that permits
the system administrator to control data content to authorized parties by user
name and password. Client access control shall permit different access levels.
The web module shall have the ability to present near-real time data. Flow meter
measurements shall be forwarded to the Server immediately following collection
by the field RTUs. The Server shall immediately post the data to the web site
for viewing by authorized parties.
Data Transfer to Modeling Software
The Enterprise data platform shall provide preprocessing of all data
for seamless importation into the Wallingford InfoWorks modeling software.
